Dr. Alexandra Garcia is a board licensed doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Her practice focus is in fertility, perinatal care, and pediatrics.
Dr. Alexandra Garcia (she/her) is the clinical medical director at Woven Bodies in Kingston, NY. She holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health Sciences, where she trained in the use of acupuncture and herbal medicine, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Elementary Education from Middlebury College.
Dr. Garcia worked for two years on the Labor and Delivery Unit at NYU-Langone Hospital while completing a mentorship program with Claudia Citkovitz, PhD, L.Ac (author of Acupressure and Acupuncture During Birth). After her doctoral studies, Dr. Garcia continued in an advanced perinatal acupuncture mentorship program for three more years. She has also had the great pleasure of working for several years under the renowned acupuncturist and fertility specialist, Jill Blakeway (author of Making Babies) at the YinOva center.
She is the mother of three bubbly young kids. She and her wife Morgane Richardson currently call Hudson Valley, NY home, where they share in the adventures of parenthood and business ownership. They co-created WoveBodies in 2019 to manifest the experience they wished had been available to them when they started their own family building journey.
